Manager, Retail for Goodyear
November 7, 2006—Cleveland, Ohio—Executive search
firm, paul~lawrence associates, has placed Maureen
Thompson as Human Resources Manager, Retail for The Goodyear Tire & Rubber
Company in Akron, Ohio. Larry S. Imely and Eric E. Christ were
the search consultants managing the assignment.
Ms. Thompson previously was Vice President, Human Resources for
Lesco, with responsibility for all aspects of human resources for
200 corporate office personnel and 1,000 field associates. Lesco,
a $570 million public company, is recognized as a leading supplier
of professional turf products. Prior to Lesco, Maureen was Vice
President, Human Resources for Alamo Rental's Local Market
Division.
Goodyear is the world's largest tire company, manufacturing and
marketing tires for most applications. It also manufactures and
markets several lines of power transmission belts, hose and other
rubber products for the transportation industry and various industrial
and consumer markets. Goodyear is one of the world's largest operators
of commercial truck service and tire retreading centers. In addition,
it operates about 1,700 tire and auto service center outlets. Goodyear
products are manufactured in more than 90 facilities in 28 countries.
