Manager, EPD for Goodyear
November 1, 2006—Cleveland, Ohio—Executive search
firm, paul~lawrence associates, has placed Eric Mathews as Human
Resources Manager, Engineered Products Division (EPD) for The Goodyear
Tire & Rubber Company in Akron, Ohio. Larry S. Imely was the
search consultant managing the assignment.
Mr. Mathews previously was Human Resources Manager for Wendy's
International with responsibility for the human resources activities
of more than 300 restaurants. Prior, Eric was Senior Manager of
Organizational Development & Staffing for Harman/Becker Automotive
Systems and Human Resources Manager at the Ford Motor Company.
Goodyear is the world's largest tire company, manufacturing and
marketing tires for most applications. It also manufactures and
markets several lines of power transmission belts, hose and other
rubber products for the transportation industry and various industrial
and consumer markets. Goodyear is one of the world's largest operators
of commercial truck service and tire retreading centers. In addition,
it operates about 1700 tire and auto service center outlets. Goodyear's
